with none out in the seventh inning to tie the score St Agatha of Kitchener jumped into an early 10 lead in the first inning on single by Marlene Sazonik and triple by Nancy McNiel but PeterReino tied it in the second inn ing St Agatha came up with two more runs in the third inning and one in the fourth to take control of the game St Agatha pitcher Bev Pilon was breezing through the PeterReino tters until the sixth inning when they finally found the rangeof the hard throwing pitcher PeterReino got one run back in the sixth and then scored five runs in the seventh inning to win Jane Partridge led off the inning with single and then scored on Schurrs home run that found its way into the gap in leftcentre field Gerrip Carre Debbie Emms and Patti Purvis added runs later in the inning Pruvis had tworun single on the mixup by the St Agatha outfielders St Agatha couldnt get the bats going in the bottom of their inning ana went down in order on three straight strikeouts Pruvis Meaford struck for two runs in the top of the first inning on singles by Alberta Carefoot Donna Carefoot and Darlene Carefoot but Innisfil came back with three runs in the bot tom of the inning on home run by Dale Irwin Innisfil struck for one more run in the top of the third inning to take shortlived 64 lead Innisfil came back with two more runs in the bottom of the third to tie the score trti Meaford jumped ahead 1210 afte six innings and Innisfil couldnt rebound from the deficit as they went down in order in the bottom of the seventh inning Darlene Carefoot was the winning pitcher for game of the tourna ment but Barrie came on strong to beat Orangeville 31 and then Huntsville Midgets lose two in Whitby Barrie Bentorswell Midgets competed in the Whitby Midget lacrosse tournament over the weekend but came away emp ty handed Barrie lost the opening game of the tournament 116 to strong Toronto Beach team then lost the next game to Whit by 1210 Barrie led the Whitby game until less than three minutes re mained in the final period then Whitby scored three goals in the space of one minute to win the game The final goal came when Barrie pulled its goalie in favor of sixth
