OTTAWA CP Defence Minister Allan McKinnon has named fiveman group to in vestigate armed forces unification an ex plosive issue that split the forces more than 10 years ago McKinnon told news conference Thursday he will support whatever conclusion the study group reaches either for or against an in tegrated military force The report is to be submitted to McKinnon by Jan 31 next year The Photo Hospitals await word an appeals for funds By TERRY FIELD Of The Examiner Several Simcoe County hospitals are awaiting the outcome of their appeals for ad ditional funds for 1979 and while hopeful denial of the appeals by the provincial health ministry could force cuts in service The financial problems being experienced by many of the provinces hospitals is the result of percentage increase in operating budgets for the current year that fell short of the inflation rate Though health minister Dennis Timbrell has said more money would be made available through the appeal process none has been alloted Royal Victoria Hospital Barrie has predicted its deficit for this year would be some $350000 and it has initiated an appeal Huronia District Midland has pegged its deficit at $100000 says administrator Ted Pritchard while the shortfall at Soldiers Memorial Orillia was termed substantial by assistant administrator RG Kehoe Both have appealed and both hospitals say preliminary talks with the ministry suggest the outcome of the appeals will be favorable None of the three have experienced any have of Lots of pea 1e neglected to buy go at $150 problems nor have
