rie toncert Association those essentials are strength sen sitivity and skill idettas music may have its roots in folk music but its so eclectic ranging from childrens songs to spirituals that it embraces all the emo tioiis if America is the melting pot of popular music then tidetta is one of the performers who can give shape to that unruly miture She uses her voice as perfectly tuned instrument es ploring the shadings and subtleties usually blunted or ig nored in popular music She can move effortlessly front fragile whisper to powerful roar Theres beauty and pain in her music and beauty in the way she opens her heart to an audience in word shes authentic Spirituals and black folk songs are reborn with passion and in tensity when she sings them blues song like Sittin Here In
