at their first monthly meeting on Thurs day evening January 13 He spoke of the home and school clubs and the trustees and rate payers association which enable the avmagc citizen to take an ac tive part in education in the corn iiiuiiity The home and school clubs with their regular meetings of the par ents of the children and the trus tees and ratcpayers association with its sponsoring of an election of officers of St Andrews Choir was held at the home of Miss Chalmers on Friday evening Jan brief practice was held under the direction of the clioirinaster Mr Craig Hamilton after which Mr Angus Ross took the chair to conduct the election of the choir officers for 1940 Prior to calling for nominations Mr Ross expres sed the pleasure he had derived during the past year as president of
