That person turned out to be Oakville resident Karen Tippett, who happens to be turning 70 this year, and still volunteers with other seniors. To enter the contest, people needed only to fill out a ballot at the South Service Road West store. "To help us draw the lucky individual, we enlisted the help of Hyundai Auto Canada's president and CEO, Don Romano," said Derek Chan, principal dealer. Tippett's name was the one he drew from the hundreds who had entered the contest. "We decided to surprise Karen by inviting her into the dealership informing her that she was part of a group of customers we were bringing back into the dealership for being a great customer. As she sat in an office, the owners of Hyundai of Oakville, Ronald and Derek Chan came to the office holding a banner that said `Congratulations,'" said Chan. "She was definitely surprised and could barely believe it."
