I k- I Sunrise o f Oakville Reminiscence Program for Seniors with Memory Impairment Zonta supports cancer research The Zonta Club of Oakville is proud of its contribution to the success o f this year's Relay for Life by participating with two teams of 24 members raising $5,000 to support the Canadian Cancer Society. Zontians and cancer sur vivors Catherine Bobesich, past President, and Margrit Ross also participated in the opening Survivors Victory Lap. Zonta Oakville was awarded the best costume prize at the event for its / Dream o f Zonta theme which the club extended to a fun motif in the team's tent which was outfitted in full harem style. Zontians take an active role in the community and are proud to sponsor such cancer support service organizations as the Wellspring Cancer Support Centre, Breast Cancer Support Services (BCSS) o f Halton and Ian Anderson House. Additionally, local Zontians from Oakville, BramptonCaledon and Mississauga recent ly raised $18,000 towards the fight and treatment o f cancer from the 2003 Zonta Classic golf tournament at Lionhead Golf and Country Club in Brampton.
