First-place Hornets notch three more wins Nikki Cece made 24 saves for her second consecutive shutout as the Oakville Hornets remained unbeaten in Provincial Women's Hockey League play with a 3-0 victory over the Cambridge Rivulettes Monday in Cambridge. Amy Curlew, Cassidy MacPherson and Loren Gabel scored the goals for Oakville (15-0-2). The victory was the Hornets' third in four days, following home victories over Kingston Friday (6-0) and Southwest Saturday (5-1). Emma Maltais (three goals, one assist) and Madison Field (two goals, three helpers) combined for nine points Friday. Curlew had the other Oakville marker, and Cece made 15 saves. The Hornets broke open Saturday's game with goals four seconds apart by Jazz Kennedy and Curlew, which gave Oakville a 3-0 lead early in the second period.
