For every month they participate in the challenge, groups will be entered to win $50 for their respective communities. Each month, the challenge will focus on a different environmental theme. "November shines the light on greening worship spaces, with Greening Sacred Spaces encouraging you to weatherproof, conduct a green audit, upgrade to more efficient lighting/utilities, or identify new ways to green," stated a press release. "Hosting relevant events are also great initiatives." To join in on the challenge, email South Halton-Peel GSS co-ordinator Christina Read at cread@greeningsacredspaces.net. Groups can also share what they are doing for that month's theme on Twitter (@GSSHaltonPeel) with the hashtag #GSSChallenge to enter.
