The 20th century fashion scene was ripe to continue the "hairless movement", with such developments as: increasingly shorter skirts; a preference for sleeveless, backless and shoulderless dresses; a dire shortage of silk stockings dur ing the First World War; the shaving of eyebrows in Hollywood in favour of the pencil-look; and a campaign by the razorblade companies to con vince all women that unwanted hair was indeed, unfeminine. Today, women still wax and shave conscien tiously, but most of them wish they didn't have to. And considering the impact of this new advancement, it looks like Jergens may be slated to take the next slot in hair removal history, some thing like this: In the year 2001, a ground-breaking innovation called Naturally Smooth Shave Minimizing Lotion hit the scene.
