W ritten by Oakville playwright Neville J. Bryant, the play illuminates the dilemmas faced by elders as they explore the potential for romance in the twilight years. The two evening performances will be preceded by refreshments served at 6 p.m. At 7 p.m. Sheridan's President, Dr. Robert Turner, will provide welcoming remarks, and Sheridan faculty associat ed with the Sheridan Elder Research Centre will describe some o f their research activities. The Entertainers have been part of the Oakville arts scene since their formation in 1957. A m en's a cappella singing group, they have offered men in the commu nity an opportunity to sing in harmony and to entertain at community and private func tions. In addition to their annu al spring show, they organ ized a successful Holiday Chorus inviting other men in the community to jojn them to perform at events during the Christmas Season. These included perform ances at O akville Town Hall, A llandale in M ilton, Bennett Centre in Georgetown and a fundrais ing concert for Halton Family Services. The Entertainers have successfully com peted in Barbershop Society compe titions over the years. They won the Ontario Champion ship in 1974 and the right to represent the Ontario District in international com petition in 1981 and 1982. The Entertainers rehearse each Monday night at 7 p.m at St. Volodymyr's Centre, 1280 Dundas St. W.
