Halton police `seized' a lot of drugs recently and officers didn't have to track them down -- they came to them. Halton Regional Police participated in the second annual National Prescription Drug Drop-off Day on May 10. Halton residents voluntarily turned in 127 kilograms (280 lbs.) of unused or expired prescription drugs to the Halton Regional Police Service at six locations. Halton police will participate in the third annual drug dropoff day in May 2015, however, throughout the year residents can safely dispose of unused or expired prescription drugs at most pharmacies.
