Most recently, police, in conjunction with several community partners, produced a short video that attempts to hammer home the potentially dire consequences of driving while distracted. The two-minute video depicts a mock crash caused by a driver who is texting that results in two deaths. It was launched April 2 at Georgetown District High School. The video was produced by police, in partnership with TVCogeco, Safe Communities Halton Hills and radio station Z103.5, and lmed in November 2013 on a road in Georgetown. see Texting on p.8 ClearView Christian Reformed Church was the site of a one-day quiltathon, hosted by women who meet each Monday at the church, to spend time designing and sewing quilts to be sent via the charity True North Aid, to First Nations and Inuit people in remote and isolated communities in Canada's North.
