Here, Larah Currie, left, and Caitlin Johnstone get down to work. Be a Santa to a Senior collects and distributes holiday gifts to isolated seniors in Halton. The program encourages people to pick up a Be a Santa to a Senior tree ornament at a participating retailer or community partner, purchase a senior's wish list item, as appears on the ornament, and place the unwrapped gift under the tree with the ornament attached. The program is in its eighth year, partnering with local retailers, non-profit agencies, and scores of volunteers from the community, to deliver gifts to local seniors.
