Everyone had a role in the Santa parade continued from p.6 the food drive, and generously providing the Santa Shuttle service. The number of people taking advantage of the shuttle grows each year, and we appreciate how Oakville Transit has expanded its service to meet the demand · Endo Networks and their team of elves who put together our post-parade survey · The Town of Oakville staff who worked tirelessly to ensure the parade runs smoothly and the safety of residents · Canada Post for gathering letters to deliver to Santa · The Sanctuary Church, that provided more than 800 hot chocolates to participants and parade-goers · The VIPs who took part, from our Grand Marshal, Mrs. Claus, to our elected officials and our Olympian, Kyle Jones, and our colouring-contest winners (and to all the children who entered the colouring contest), and those who entered the Kerr Village Scavenger Hunt · The Kin Club of Oakville, Oakville Fire Department and Fun Group of Family and Friends of Falgarwood for their charitable spirit at this time of year, with each group collecting a record amount for charity · Encore Cinemas that sponsored a free showing of Elf on the big screen following the parade · The marching bands and groups who took part, some for an honorarium below market value, who made the parade so enjoyable · The local print and cable media that provided extensive coverage of the parade; · Our judges who consider each entry and decide who will be the winning entries · The members of the Oakville Santa Claus Parade Committee, who work all year long to ensure the parade delights the young and young-at-heart each year And last, but certainly not least, to Santa for making the trip to Oakville and delighting us once again. I thought this issue is of great significance as it pertained to the education of young students who will be the future of several different roles and occupations. Canada is a diverse country, whereas having a greater understanding of languages allows effective communication amongst cultures. It also allows immigrants' continuous learning in order to become multilingual, a skill that is extremely beneficial to modern lifestyle. Furthermore, children have an innate adaptive skill called universal phoneme sensitivity, allowing them to learn languages easier and quicker than an adult. The extended time frame for the French curriculum allows students adequate time to properly learn a language and will balance out workload in the latter years of elementary school. This article posed possible solutions, which will be integral to our young students learning. The proposition also applies the freedom of choice for the families who wish to enrol their children at earlier opportunities and allows for the acknowledgement of the children, themselves. Ultimately, this article finds a significant issue pertaining to the local area and promotes the education of young students. Thank you for your contribution.
