She did break her wrist and was released from the hospital the same day," said Chapman, noting, though, that she had to make a return trip to the hospital because of nausea, pain and headaches. "She was admitted and they did a CT scan and there was some blood on her skull. They did a second CT scan, which showed some improvement," he explained. Chapman said Debbie has since been released from hospital and continues to recover. Her friend remains in hospital having suffered a shattered pelvis as well as a broken wrist. Chapman said the woman has a long road of rehabilitation ahead. Halton police said the investigation into the hit and run is ongoing. Signs are posted at Oakville Place outlining the accident details and the suspect vehicle. Police are looking for a grey or silver midsize, four-door, car, possibly a 2000-2006 Ford Taurus. The car may also have sustained front-end damage. Chapman is calling on the driver to turn themselves in or for any witnesses to come forward.
