He said putting residennial land beside a highway thats eventuallv going to be widened is ordiculous. "People that have t0 byve there will have significai noise and air quality concemns," he sajd. He also pointed out that the land was oniginallv intended for employmcnt uscs. The prcvious townl council approved iesidenuial zoning for the propcity. Wshile Best requested a recorded vote on the issue, he was Councillor Rick Day and Wards 1 and 3 Councillor Barry Lee were absent. A motion with the request, înstigated by Ward 3 Councîllor Cindy' Lunau, was approved by town council Monday night. The move, if ultimately approved by the Province, lis expected 10 lead to less roadside ltttering.
