Aleksander Dubras, a 16-year-old E.C. Drury High School student, recently started his own business - In Home Fine Dmne - through the Ontanio govemnments Summer Company program. The catering service offers gourmet meals prepared by Dubras in bis cusiomers' kitchens. "Ail food is made in your home, so you see exactly what goes into the meal," said Dubras. The Summer Company programn provides business training, mentoring and [mnancial grants 10 help people aged 15 10 29 start up their own summer businesses. Those accept- ed receive a $1,500 grant 10 stant the compa- ny and, upon completion, wiIl be awarded an additional $1,500. Dubras' love of cookîng started about 10 years ago when he was jusi a youngsîer help- ing bis grandmnother oui in the kitchen. He went on 10 take food courses throughout bîgh scbool and work ai a number of higb- end restaurants in Milton. Now, Dubras is taking that restaurant experience and using il 10 make local resi- dents' home dining expenience a gourmet une. The program will focus on cooking and restaurant management.
