Ready for a herry fun time' You dont necessarily have to like straw- bernies to enjoy the Milton District Hospital's 28th annual Strawberry Fair Saturday, June 2 1. But it certainly helps. The unoffîcial kick-off to summer is the hospital's biggest fundraiser of the year and organizers say that das always, there'il be soniething for everyone. The eveni will run from 8 ain. to 4 p.m. at the Milton Fair Grounds. Activities will include rides, games, ting, gift items, a vendors' market- place and a raffle. 0f course, strawberries. from Andrews Scenic Acres, wilI be a big >part of the event - once again supply- ing the dehicious bernies from the nearby pick-your-own farm. Treats will include strawberries and ice cream, strawbenry shortcake and strawbenry drinks. Used books needed for fundraiser if you've got books to spare, consider donating them to Communitv Living North Halton. Comrnunity Living North Halton is a non-profit organiza- tion that support- developmen- tally disabled adults and chul dren in Milton and Halton His. its in need of books, in good condition, for its book sale fundraiser. Proceeds will go toward its drop-in centre. Donated books can be dropped off at Horizon Packaging at 725 Main St. E. before Saturday, Aug. 16. The book sale will take place August 16 at the Milton Farmers' Market.
