The Community Services lnventory (CSI), recently released by the Our Kids Network, streamlines searches for users and increases the case with which indivtduals cao retrieve information about services. "The Commumty Services lnventory database is an inno- vatîve and valuable resource that will provide Halton resi- dents with credible, relevant aîid easily-accessihle informa- tion to help support the needs of their children," said 1-alton Regional Chair Gary Carr. The Our Ktds Network partnered with the Ontario Early Years Centres and the Halton Information Providers (HIP) to produce a customized view of the information records that only contain, services relevant to famîlies with chîldren and youth aged 0 to 18. The CSI customized view can he accessed from the Our Kids Networks website, www.ourkidsnetwork.ca. Our Kîds Network is a multidisciplinary coalition of serv- ice provoders working to ensure that ail chîldren thrive in Halton. Partniers include the Region, Halton Regional Police Services, Halton district and Catholic school boards, Children's Aid Society of Halton, Halton Child and Youth Services and Transitions for Youth. Town holding semninars for Nutrition Month The Town is presentîng a variety of seminars on healthy eating during March at the Milton Leisure Centre to mark Nutrition Month. The first session, which will take place Thursday at 10:30 arn., will look at the difference between good and bad fats. A workshop on reading food labels wtll be held March 19 at 7 p.m. and March 22 at 10:30 arn. Then, the final session on iron for women is scbeduled for March 26 at 7 p.m. and March 29 at 10:30 ar. The workshops are free for Milton Leisure Centre menm- bers and $5 for non-members.
