Al6 - The Canadian Champion, Friday, November 10, 2006 FOR MAYOR OF MILTON A vote for VOLPE is a WIN FOR MILTON! TO CONTACT AL VOLPE Email: volpe4mayor@yahoo.ca Telephone: 905-864-1835 AL VOLPE FOR MAYOR OF MILTON One Billion Dollars worth of homes have been built and sold in Milton within the past three years. Ail Milton has to show for this development is Millions of Dollars of accumulative debt that must be payed by you, the Milton Tax Payer, In addition, our infrastructure, roads, services, hospital and schools are no where close to meeting the needs of our growing and aging population. The Town of Milton borrowed millions of dollars from one developer in 2006 - the terms and conditions of the loan covenant have never been mode openly public. I believe in the future, Milton could very well find itself in a compromised position as a result of this agreement, Three or four years from now, the major developers will move on to greener pastures and the people of Milton will be left with inadequate services and a legacy of debt. On November 13th, ail Miltonian's should stand up at the ballot box and state, "We will no longer subsidize developers!". Now is the time to vote for change, to better the status quo. Our future is in our hands. On November 13th, together, we can create a Milton that is built in the best interest of our children and grandchildren, A Milton that will not be bulldozed by developers or hoodwinked by higher levels of government. A vote for Al Volpe is a vote to change Milton. The car is a black, two door, 2003 V12 Vanquish bearing a personalized licence plate, 'BiULINE. "It didn't have all the souped up (clements) James Bond had on his," said Det. Sgt. Peter Hodgson, chuck- ling. When it was purchased in 2003, it was the only model of that year in Canada. Hodgson said when luxury cars are swiped, they often find their way over- seas; they'd attract too much attention if they were driven in Canada. It was probably targeted for the overseas market," Hodgson said.
