Anril 7 Pnn TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE Thompson Road South from Main Street East to Nipissing Road The Town of Milton, in conjunction with Canadian Pacific Railway and GO Transit, will shortly begin the construction of the Grade Separation at the CPR crossing on Thompson Road South, north of Nipissing Road. The existing railway tracks are in conflict with the location of the Grade Separation and as a result must be temporarily relocated. Boston Church Road Reconstruction (James Snow Parkway to Lawson Road) The temporary closure(s) will be in effect from May 1, 2006 until June 30, 2006. Such a bylaw will prevent the movement of all through traffic. Local access will be maintained from either Lawson Road or No. 5 Sideroad throughout the construction. Plans detailing the project are available for viewing by appointment at the Engineering Services Department located at 555 Industrial Drive. On APRIL 10, 2006, the Community Services Standing Committee will give consideration to the proposed bylaw. At this meeting, Committee will hear, in person, or by their counsel, any person who claims that their lands will be prejudicially affected by the said by-laws, and who applies to be heard. The Town of Milton's Engineering Services Department has prepared plans for the rehabilitation of 4th Line from Louis St. Laurent Boulevard to Britannia Road and the two lane reconstruction of Thompson Road from Louis St. Laurent Boulevard to Britannia Road. The plan for the 4th Line addresses road base and pavement deficiencies. The Thompson Road plan provides for the complete reconstruction of both traffic lanes and roadside ditches. In conjunction with this project, Halton Region will carry out intersection improvements at Britannia Road including traffic signais. The project is being design in accordance with the Class Environmentai Assessment, Schedule A, for Municipal Road Projects.
