Suspect arrested at scene after gas station robbed In a bizarre incident, a local gas station was robbed Saturday night by a man who appeared to be intoxicated. At about 10:30 p.m., a man filled up his car at the Petro Canada ai Steeles Avenue and Martin Street and went inside the kiosk, police said. He asked for a pack of cigarettes and then struck the clerk on the head with the debit PIN pad. Police said be threw some- thing through the front window and fled without paying. The employee locked the door and called police. The suspect then returned to the store and kicked through the glass to re-enter.
