Milton's own Faîher Mark Curtis, a Milton town councillor, won the 24th annual Walter and Wayne Gretzky CNIB Celebrity Golf Tournament with a score of -18. Both Wayne and Walter Gretzky were on hand when Father Curtis was pre- sented with the winning trophy at the Brantford Golf and Country Club. Father Curtis was invited by Walter Gretzky along with many other sports and entertainment celebnties to partici- pate in the tournament, which helps raise awareness and funds for the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB). The toumnament raised $80,000) for the CNIB Scholarship Foundation for the ~ Blind Youth of Canada, which provides >f. funding for post-secondary students, and the CNIB Gretzky SCORE Teen Camp, which provides computer expeni- ence and leadership training to teens who are blind and visually implaired.
