The Milton Marauders prevailed over the perennial powerbouse Oakville Longhomns 30- 21 in the trasb-talldng, body-smasbing, head- basbing clash of the titans that left Milton as the lonte undefeated îeamn in the Northern Football Conference at 3-0. Oakville felI to 2-t and now ails in a three-way tie for second. Since the start of tbe 2001 season, the Longhomns bave played 44 gamres and won 41 of them. With less than fOve minutes remaining, George Psofimis, in bot pursuit of tbe Oakville quarter- back. caused a fumble whicb be calmldy scooped up and ran into the end-zone. On Oakville's next possession, the Marauders defense came up witb a pivotal play once again wben Wayne Sliwinski intercepted a first down pass, resulting in a John D'Ovidio field goal.
