February 19 ai the Milton Seniors' Activity Centre, 50t0 Chjlds Dr., the Canadian Taijiquan Federation is providing a free opportunity for Miltonians to take in the dramatic dance and leam about ils pur- pose and origins ai ils tirst ever Chinese New Year's Festival. With ibis pasi Wednesday marking Chinese New Year, Miltonian Vie Benjamin, president of the Canadian Taijiquan Federation, said there's no betier lime to witness the majestic lion dance - and maybe leam a thing or two thai could mark the beginning of a whole new jour- ney. The demonstration will be held fromn 4 to 5 p.m. by Robin Young and Guelph's Jing Mo Kung Fu Club. The lion dance. Mr. Benjamin said. is a celebraîton that combines martiai arts, cul- tural myîhology and performing arts.
