About 300 people camne out Saturday for the grand re-opening of Milton's backsmith shop un James Street, which operated in tuwn for more than 100 years and closed in 1969. The Acton Citizens Band kept the crowd entertained before mid-moming officiai remarks, and the Milton Choristers ead the singing of Oh Canada. "I'd like to welcome yuu to this Iong-awaitcd day," said Mirella Marshall, president of the Milton Histurical Society, which leases the blacksmith shop and undertook the resturation prujcct. -Getting involved wiîh this project was one uf the best things I've dune in my life." The celebration alsu coincided with the histurical societys 25th anniversary, she added.
