Utilizing funds received from the Ontario Lottery Corporation, the Town may provide cash grants total- ing $500,000 from îlot revenue proceeds received quarterly from Mohawk Raceway to community organizations or individuals whose primary purpose is to provide activities that enhance the quality of life within Milton or enhance the image of the town. The Elderly Services Advisory Committee (ESAC) released a new infor- mation directory geared towards seniors' needs. The directory - released carlier this week and available at various seniors centres, long-termn care facilities, libraries, medical service centres and govemment offices - contains more than 250 listings and contact numbers for area seniors organizations. "Access to information is critical to a senior's quality of life and sense of inde- pendence," said Helen Ferguson, ESAC chair. "'This directory is a valuable tool to ensure seniors continue to access the pro- grams and services they nced in this com- munity."
