THE COMMON Vital questions to be answered. TVO Anyone who believes that television cannot be an educational tool prohahly hasn't hesrd about the upcoming TVO show 'Get With The Pmogram'. Airing Saturday, Oct. 23 and Sunday, Oct. 24 at 3 p.m., the show sims to help the youth crowd get the answers to must-know questions such as which college or university to attend, what pro- gram to study and how to manage steep tuition costs. The show is co-hosted by Jennifer Racicot of YTV's PJ Katie's Farm and Michael Kinney of TVO's Inquiring Minds. To ensure the programn stays in touch with the student cmowd, six university students were quizzed on what they wish they had known hefore entering post-secondary education. The students, who are ai TVO interna, were then paired up with producers to create six different segments for the show. Everything from making it in the social scene to deciding whether to live on or off campus are covered in tie bmoadcast. Social issues are also on the table, as one student speaks on coming to termas with being gay in university. The show is aimed for teens aged 15-18 as well as parents and mature students readying to oetumn to the educational scene. But keeping it youth-friendly means interspersing the informa- tion with humour, drama, and music videos. The show will be interactive, with called, faxed or e-mailed questions answered on air.
