By KAREN SMITH The Champion Numerous charities will benefit from the sale of the latesi release from 'Canada's Singing Prie st'. Milton's Father Mark Curtis, who recently became a priest with the Anglican Church of Canada, will launch CD'The Angels StilI Sing' next week. As with his former recordings, a portion of the proceeds will 'go to various chani- ties, including the children's hospice Rose Cherry's Home. Father Curtis, who was a Roman Catholic priest before resigning from the post and getting married, said songs fea- tured in the recording reflect on the last 10 years of his life. Made up of easy-listening love ballads, the CD was recorded this poat summer at Knox Presbyterian Church and features the musical talents of Sean O'Brien (gui- tar), Frank McCormick (congas), Chris Fischer (piano) and Scott Woods, Canada's fiddle champion. "It's the first (recording) I've been able to produce on my own from beginning to end," Father Curtis said. "It's been a labour of love." He composed aIl 14 songs himself.
