At least it is when it is served at Blazing Saddles, a gala beef and beans barbecue aimed at raising funds for the Milton District Hospitai Foundation. The event wiIl be held Friday, Aug. 13 at Pineland Farm in Homnby. Guests wiII sheil out $50 a head, or $500 for a table of 10, to join in the fun. Partial tax receipta will be issued. Approximately 600 guya and gala are fixing to turo out at the gala, with the aim of raising $60,000. Airpiane spin The money will be put towards the pur- chase of a film digitizer and clinical review station for the hospital's diagnostic imaging deparment. The event wiil feature both live and silent auctions. Items include a fiight in an antique acrobatie airplane, a bot air bal- loon ride, a collection of A.J. Casson prints and a weekend in the pit at the 2000 Indy 500 in Toronto. Also up for grabs is a four-hour ride along with Halton Police and an evening in a 1967 limousine previously owned bY entertainer Dean Martin. That is donated by Memory Lane Limousine Service. Guests are encouraged to corne decked out in their best western gear, as there are prizes for the best maie and female attire. Tickets are available at the hospital, Delacourt and Peggy's at Milton Mail.
