An excited Ms Johnstone will be one of about 100 contestants in the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) Ambassador Competition in Toronto August 20 to 22. Contestants, who have already submitted resumes highligbting their qualifications for the honour, will undergo a fOve-minute personal interview with the judges. The top seven will later be selected on stage and then each will be asked to recite a speech and answer impromptu quelstions. If she's selected, Ms Johnstone said she plana to speak ftom the beart about what the Milton Faîl Fair means to her. Thse 19-year-old may be the perfect can- didate for CNE Ambassador, said Annette Winter, chair of the fair board's ambas- sador committee. She* said the University of Guelph mar- keting student is confident, interèsted in the community, enthusiastic in ber endeav- ors and always ready to amile. I think she bas an excellent chance," Ms Winter said. I think she's got wbat the CNE is looking for in an ambassador."
