"Tben be called New York, New York called Toronto, and French's called me to apologize." Wbat bad bappened is close to a classic Neil Sirnonesque screw-up. Tbougb Use playwnigbt bad at one Urne called for Use dinner tbeatre ban, be badt also lifted it years ago. Trouble is, no one tbougbt to informn Canada about it. Until now, no one in tbis country bad kicked up a fusa. "*It was an adventure," laugbed Ms Adamns, wbo continues ber love affair witb tbe playwrigbt's work. "I tbink bis writing is so clear. Tbere's not a lime of dialogue that doesn't make sense," she said. "He says the lines out loud as he's wnsting them and if tbey aren't funny to him, be doesn't use Usein." Ms Adamns also bas nothing but praise for Use cast. Mr. Raimondo in particuJar deserves kudos for bis comic timing, she said. "Comedy is as bard, or barder I tbink some- times, tban draina," said Ms Adamns. "If you go over Use line in a comedy, you turm it into a slap- stick and slapstick isn't funny." Rounding out tbe show are actors Sbaron Beddoes, Sandy Bennett and Louise Prevost. Ail play women botly pursued by Use overbeated and over Use bull Mr. Casbinan.
