But the Olympian and world-championship bound swimmer, who won the 100-metre and 200m breaststroke and was second in the 50m breaststroke, wasn't alone in helping OAK accumulate 483.5 points, just shy of the UBC Dolphins' winning tally of 497. Mack Darragh made five finals, including a third-place finish in the 100m butterfly, and Evan White swam in four finals, highlighted by a second-place in the 200m individual medley. OAK trailed UBC by just 1.5 points heading into the final two events and despite posting solid third and fifth-place finishes in the medley relays, UBC took first and second to secure the overall team title. Darragh also finished fourth in the 400m IM, fifth in the 200m IM, sixth in the 200m butterfly and eighth in the 200m breaststroke. White added to his second-place finish with a fifth in the 200m butterfly and a pair of seventh-places in the 400m IM and the 100m butterfly. Crusaders to host international rugby clash The Oakville Crusaders Rugby Club will be the host venue for an international rugby contest next month. The Ontario Blues high-performance provincial team will face the Royal Air Force of the British Armed Forces Saturday, May 18 at Crusader Park. The 4 p.m. game, the Blues' first pre-season match on home soil, will be preceded by a high school contest and will be followed by a display of fireworks. "The Crusaders are proud to welcome back the Ontario Blues in their fixture with the Royal Air Force," said Crusaders president David Haslam. "This fixture promises to be an excellent one... This builds on our recent success of hosting Blues games, and brings top-level rugby right back into our community." The match is part of the Royal Air Force's tour of Ontario in mid-May. The RAF regularly plays other service teams in Great Britain, including the Royal Navy, Army and British Police. Most recently, the RAF defeated Cambridge University 24-12. "This will be a good early season test for us, since the RAF play good, competitive rugby against the other services and some top university sides in Britain, and will obviously be fit," said Blues team manager Mark Winokur. "With some of our guys away with Canada commitments, this gives us a chance to look at emerging players under real pressure." The Blues have already begun open training and will continue holding training sessions until next week, when the squad will be named for their first pre-season game in New York. The Blues will take on the US Super League champion New York Athletic Club May 4 in a make-up of a game originally scheduled for last November, which was postponed due to Hurricane Sandy. The Blues have won gold at the Canadian rugby championships the past two seasons.
