PAGE 27 Durham Region gets another triple A bond rating Durham region has been upgraded to a Triple A (AAA) municipal bond rating, the highest rating awarded, from the Canadian Bond Rating Service. "I guess they were impressed with what they saw," said Region finance committee chairman Jim Witty about the visit by rating service representatives in October. Earlier this year, Moody's Investor Service of New York gave the Region a Triple A (AAA) rating. Witty, . regional chairman Gary Herrema, chief administrative officer Don Evans and finance commissioner Jack Gartley say the rating reflects the overall financial and economic strength of the Region. Even though it is only mid-November, Grade 12 and OAS students have been exposed to the most memorable event of their high school lives, graduation.
