MEADOWCREST PUBLIC SCHOOL NEWS Our grade seven boys' Volleyball team did very well at the tournament for the Durham Region. Out of twenty-five WIITBY teams, they came second in their grouping, winning four out of five matches. The boys on the team are Robbie Mason (who won the most valuable player award), Robert Lightle, Grant Reveler, Brent Duff, Michael Cann, Graham Mac- donald, Richard Neely and Stephen Owens. WOMEN'S INSTITUTE The next meeting of the Women's Institute will be the an- nual meeting with reports being given - Date April 15th at 2 p.m. at the Brooklin Community Centre. New members and visitors are welcome. District annual will be held at the Presbyterian Church in Port Perry on May 28 at 9 a.m. SPRING FASHIONS The Brooflin Legion Ladies Auxiliary will host a fashion show at Meadowerest Public School on April 9 at 8 p.m. Clothes from the Brooklin Village Shoppe will be featured. Admission is $2. DANCE The 1st and 2nd Brooklin Boy Scouts are holding a dance on April 4 at the Brooklin Community Centre from 8 p.m. till 1 a.mr. There will be bar privileges, a dise jockey, a buffet, a door prize and spot dances. For tickets cal] 655-3222 and 655-4963. CONGRATULATIONS The 1st Brooklin Cubs had their run-off in the Pinewood Derby. In the speed category lst prize went to Scott Mancini. 2nd was Clifford Wagg and Stefan Martens placed 3rd. In the Design category 1st prize went to Brad Batten. David Stell placed 2nd and Derek Grammenz won 3rd prize. BROOKLIN SPRING FAIR DANCE Get your advance tickets now!
