Everything that cao go wrong in the mechanics of putting a play together happens to this group, but somehow they manage to mumble and stumble their way through to the bitter end, much to the delight of the audience which is probably unaware that most of the mishaps and mis-cues are not really part of the script. This fast-paced comedy is a challenge to director Terrill Stewart and his cast, inasmuch as it is a play within a play wherein everyone is playing a role within a role, and every member of the cast has to be careful not to get one mixed up wi th the other . Torch-Bearers will probably rank as one of the funniest plays Whitby Theatre Company has presented. Tickets are available at Middietons Bookstore, D)un- das Street West, or at the theatre door.
