say may eventually employ persons At a special meeting of town council last Thursday- night as surance was given the firm that the town could provide the water needed for its operation Concerned about the reported shortage of water in Newmar ket a representative of the company had given council hours in which to reach its de cision Following tho presenta tion of a report on the water situation by the engineer a resolution was passed which as sured the factory that the town has enough water for immediate use by the factory The company has been told that 30000 gallons per day can be supplied to its plant The said that an ad ditional gallons per day could be immediately available to factory Half the amount will come from a well between Mill ard Ave and Park Ave which produces gallons per day Mr said that this well will be added to the present system Also a well which had been drilled earlier in the Green Lane area north of town but which had been unsuitable for use as a wa ter source because fine sand came up in the water is running clear now he said When it was opened on March and pumped at gallons per minute fine sand was brought up in the water explained but when the pressure was reduced to gallons per minute or 101000 gal Ions per day there was no sand This last well is economically sound if it continues to be free of sand Mr said In his report Mr said that the test
