on Davis Drive for the erection of a was again shelved by the Newmarket council this week Councillors Gladstone and Alex protest- that the lot should be kept for industrial or commercial de velopment Davis Drive is the only east- west town street in New market said Councillor Ridier It is too valuable a site to sell for 600 He explained to the council that Davis Drive because of its advantageous location is well suited for the erection of commercial buildings If I owned that lot and some one offered me 800 for it Id sell it so fast the dust would fly said Reeve Eddie Wright- man will cost 5000 before that lot is suitable for building purposes Mrs Atnsworth said that a large amount of fill is necessary to make the property suitable for building purposes The lot is unsightly added
