Mrs- Nelson Ion received the badge lor Mrs Armstrong who was un able to attend because of illness Mrs Armstrong is badge sec retary for the Newmarket and district guides and brownies and has been a member of the Girl Guide Local association since the group was organized more than five years ago She served for many years as an executive member of- the ScoutGuide Mo thers auxiliary The Thanks badge is presented in appreciation of work done for guiding In making the award the Newmarket guides and brownies paid public recogni tion to Mrs Armstrongs many contributions to the movements HOLY LAND SHOWN IN COLORED SLIDES TO EVENING WA A travelogue on the Holy Land was presented by Miss Diane Park to the Evening of Trinity United when the group met on Tuesday Mar Mrs Aubrey Watson presid ed Mrs Hooker introduced Miss Park Miss Park spoke on her Mediterranean cruise of last year with particular reference to the Holy Land Her talk was illustrated by colored slides which she had taken on
