Halton waste drop-off event at Sheridan Saturday Halton Region is hosting several waste dropoff events to make the proper disposal of hazardous and electronic waste more convenient for residents. The Region will host seven drop-off events this year, compared to four in 2011. "Halton has added three more drop-off event dates this year to ensure all residents have the opportunity to protect the environment through the proper recycling and safe disposal of these materials," said Halton Regional Chair Gary Carr. The first date is Saturday, April 21, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Sheridan College parking lot, 1430 Trafalgar Rd. The remaining six drop-off days will be held at different locations and dates this summer and fall. The dates are April 28, June 16, June 23, Aug. 25, Sept. 22 and Oct. 20.
