Traditional Japanese foods and traditions will be on display at Glen Abbey United Church at 1469 Nottinghill Gate. The festivities run from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and include performances of the traditional Japanese stringed musical instrument, Koto, a Japanese lion dance, a taiko drum group, demonstrations of a Japanese tea ceremony, rice-cake (Mochi) making, Japanese calligraphy and how to create hand-drawn postcards, as well as games.
