Region marks Global Entrepreneurial Week From Nov. 14-20, Canadians will celebrate Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW). An international movement, the week's events are designed to inspire youths to embrace innovation, imagination and creativity through entrepreneurship, and inspire people to consider entrepreneurship as a career. Each year, the Friends of the Library raises $25,000 for the library system through two book sales and an ongoing Friendly Find book sale system. It has more than 500 boxes of books, CDs and DVDs, to be sold at $1.25/lb. Opening day of the book sale is today and is for Friends of the Library members only, from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday's sale runs from noon to 9 p.m., Friday's from 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m., and Saturday's from 9:30 a.m.-5 p.m. On Sunday, Nov. 13, the last day of the event, all material will be sold at half price, from 1 to 5 p.m. A Friends of the Library membership costs $10.
