the program pro mises to be very exciting Two of the pieces in this coo cert have been composed by Musical Director A Dale Wood with words by Donna The first is Nowell and will be followed by Sweet Child of Mine in which the bass solo will be sung by Lou Darcie Georgetown Choral Society is lucky to have such talented peo ple as Dale and Donna among their ranks Dale is a very busy person with two other choirs to direct He must literally live his music every waking moment in order to find the time to compose such delightful music Donna too is a very busy per son with a husband and three small children Michael yrs Enn yrs and oneyearold Cameron to look after She has her Grade 8 vatory in piano and has been writing since she was a teenager Donna has been in the Choral Society for years One of the highlights of this concert will be a musically com plex duet by Bach which will be sung by tenor Jack Morrison and guest soprano soloist Susan Murley both of whom have a wealth of talent behind them Jack Morrison is Head of the Music Department at Collegiate in He literally grew up with music In his family since his mother was a wellknown singing teacher in Brampton Susan Murley who halls from Newfoundland studied vocal performance at the University of Toronto and is presently studying voice with Patricia Klein as well As taking her Masters degree in English Literature at McMaster sity With such exciting music talented performers and ex composers this con cert by the Georgetown Choral Society promises to be a wonder ul start to the Christmas season The accompanist will be the very talented Christopher Dawes who went with the Society on their tour of Holland earlier this year The tapes from this concert tour are now available and will be on sale at the Sounds of Christmas concerts The quality of the recordings is ex and these tapes will make excellent Christmas gifts Venues for the concert are the Christian Reformed Church in Brmapton at 8 00 p m on Friday December 7
