opposes housing at old stone school The Acton group Parents Assisting Children and Teachers PACT urged town council last Monday night to oppose a proposal to use the stone school In Acton as part of a housing development In a tetter addressed to council the group which consists of parents whose children attend Robert Little school listed several objections to the proposal in eluding the destruction of a beautiful park like setting and a potential source of danger to then children The town s administrator clerk Dan Costea told council the town is waiting for the Non Profit Housing Corporation to say how it would like to develop the site The town can t act until it knows the proposal Mr said Council members decided not to comment until their general com mittee meeting April 23 The town expects to receive the housing cor development proposal by this date But as of press time Mr Costea hadn received any pro posal Council will eventually have to decide whether to sell the school and adjoining property to the ing corporation said Mr Costea The letters author Taylor said the Stone school area and the adjoining property off of River Street is used by many residents for walking and picmcing in the summer and tobogganing the winter A housing development would ruin park like Man falls at Rattlesnake Point Milton An 18yearold man broke his neck received severe internal in juries and head injuries when he lost his footing and fell 45 feet at Rattlesnake Park in Milton at p April 14 Halton Regional Police say The Burlington man was ding on a ledge at the park when he lost his footing and fell It took approximately an hour for fire police and ambulance personnel to rescue the man He was rushed to Milton District Hospital and then air lifted to Hamilton General Hospital The man was
