first round qualifying Hub League playoff series against Cambridge The first game ended up in a tie Acton won the second game of the playoff series at home last Wednesday Jan 24 then Cam bridge played turn around fair play last Thursday by slipping past the crew 42 in a game played in Cambridge The 32 second game Acton win saw everyone contributing and the total team effort was rewarded with the initial playoff triumph Andrew was rock solid in the Acton nets while Devon Fraser paced the attack with an unassisted goal plus an assist Acton enjoyed a first penod lead and led after two periods of play Cambridge scored the lone third period goal simply a case of too lit tie too late as Acton held on for the win Jason Christopher and Kyle Artem were the other Acton goal scorers s goal was also Kettle had to play minus one player which did not help their cause Five points was a good showing under the circumstances Copper Kettle I hosted 0 Tooles and fell by 311 winning two singles and a team game Keith Perkins and Arch Anderson won their singles and it was a long wait to the last team game win for the third point for Kettle No change in the standings where Time Out I lead from I and O and
