meeting Stella Cummings and Betty were In charge of the program Stella entertained by reading a Christmas poem Betty conducted a memory game An hour or so was then enjoyed Playing progressive euchre Helen Brown bad the high score for the ladles with Ernie McEnery winning the mens price Santa played by Jesse distributed gifts and caused much laughter as he expected a kiss from aU the ladles as they came up for their gift To close the party a verse of Silent Night was sung then all Joined hands and finished Auld Lang Syne Family Sunday Those attending church Sunday could not help but know the true meaning Christmas Just inside the door they sighted the beautiful Christmas tree in the corner all lit up with a beautiful star on the very top It was family Sunday Rev Bandy opened the service in the usual way Then the young people and the Junior Choir took over Toe Junior Choir all in gowns were centred In front of the church The smaller ones from Sunday school went to tbe front as the second Advent candle was lit Mrs Pat Kerr trained the choir conducted them as they sang beautifully one number after another Special music with the beating of a drum accompanied the choir as they sang Mrs read verses of scripture to correspond with the spirit of Christmas Rev Bandy gave the prayer Tiny tots with their parents took up the collection In tbe afternoon a short program was put on by the Sunday school The highlight was when old Santa appeared with gifts for all A lot of credit must be given to Pat Kerr for giving so much of her time teachers and others who worked with tbe
