God can solve problems Ont Dear Sir I read an article some time ago by a reverent gentleman on his com munlty church They decided to change its ap pearance as a sign of life In the community and when it was finished he commented on how well it looked and the good job that had been done on It Now he said they hove a nice comfortable place to come and he would be delighted to see more of those empty pews filled at Sunday services How he made out or what he accomplished I never found out But from my own knowledge and exp erience I might say that our two world wars have played a leading role in the bad living and dis honesty and our drifting so far from God In our present day world We have lost our desire to know and love Him We have become so confused and frustrated with the problems that our way of life created that a return to God has become unthinkable So while there Is still a percentage of people with the desire for well being we may never reach a climax and will continue trying to solve the problems that have pen etrated deep in to our soc iety Legislation is forever being changed with no efficiency to Improve inflation and high prices with the result that many are losing their homes In this great land of ours that should be a moral example to the rest of the world around us So if we want to Improve matters lets not kid ourselves that a life of folly will do the job This fair land Is worth a best effort by all If we are interested In solving the many problems that confront us With Gods help we can fill the empty pews Sincerely George Graham Tho Acton Frofj Press
