The funds raised by the 26th Annual Courage Brothers Polar Bear Dips will sup- port the Manonga Water and Sanitation Project in Tanzania and bring clean water to 6,000 people. This project will build 10 borehole wells, provide improved sanitation facilities, teach proper hygiene and sanitation practices and allow vegetable and fruit trees to be planted to protect the environment and provide income that will maintain the wells. Clean water improves health, boosts family incomes, allows girls to attend school and brings vitality to the whole com- munity. The Oakville-based dip is the largest Polar Bear Dip in the Toronto area and also the largest Polar Bear Dip for charity in Canada. This year, celebrities Colin Mochrie and Deb McGrath judged the annual costume contest and hosted the official dip count- down.
