Two flatbed trailers stolen from trucking yard The Halton Regional Police Service is investigating the theft of two flatbed trailers in Oakville last weekend. Police report two large commercial open flatbed trailers and contents were stolen from the Hopefield trucking yard compound located at Bronte and Speers roads. The stolen trailers are described as a 2008 red East AXL PF trailer with Ontario licence plate E4529R and a red 1995 THRU P48 PF trailer with Ontario licence plate Z37267. The contents of the trailers include 2,500 pieces of CertainTeed drywall construction board. It is believed one or two large tractor truck vehicles were used to attach and remove the trailers from the compound. The total loss of the trailers and contents is valued at $100,000. The study has been conducted in compliance with Schedule C of the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (October 2000, amended 2007), which is approved under the Ontario Environmental Assessment Act.
