NOTICE OF COMPLETION Oakville Transit Bus Garage Construction Environmental Assessment & Preliminary Design The Town of Oakville has completed an Environmental Project Report in accordance with Ontario Regulation 231/08 for the Oakville Transit Bus Garage Construction Environmental Assessment and Preliminary Design. Following Town of Oakville Council approval in principle of the 2007 Transit Facilities Strategy, the Town retained Giffels Associates Limited / IBI Group to prepare the Oakville Transit Bus Garage Environmental Assessment and Preliminary Design. This strategy identifies a need to acquire a new site and construct a new single facility that provides all essential functions including administration, operations, maintenance and storage. The preferred new location is at 430 Wyecroft Road in the Town's central industrial area south of the QEW. The ability to maintain existing service quality is being compromised and there is no opportunity for further growth of transit services at the current location.
